An actor (the 2010 Season of Redlands Shakespeare Festival) and published playwright, Leigh Kennicott has also been a theatre reviewer for Backstage West, Los Angeles Weekly and the Pasadena Weekly, and wrote entertainment features for Arroyo and Verdugo Monthly Magazines. When she is not reviewing for StageHappenings.com she teaches theatre topics at California State University and College of the Canyons.
Leigh Kennicott workedextensively in film and television before returning to the University ofColorado to earn her Ph.D. degree in 2002. Since then, in Los Angeles, she hasdirected a neo-realist "Romeo and Juliet" at the Secret Rose Theatre;the original play, �Charlotte Second Chance,� for DramaGarage; and �How ILearned to Drive,� �Nickel and Dimed� and �Top Girls� all at College of theCanyons and looks forward to directing a new production of �Antigone� at Mt.SAC next spring.
