Synopsis:
A well-established 'strong' actress (KATHRYN) returns home...after perhaps too long an absence...to visit her now Stroke-paralyzed Mother. A woman Kathryn 'learned' her Famous 'strength' from. Long since 'outgrown' her family (a feeling shared by ALL), Kathryn attemps awkwardly at first, communicating with her Auto Mechanic brother, his bare-foot/pregnant wife; and sexually-suggestive Sister... whose 'alleged' Waitress job the Family 'pretends' actually exists.
Notes:
I've attached partial Monologue (central to play)...in which Kathryn visits her bedridden Mother. A woman once the 'pillar' of the family, now now longer able to even speak. Alone, at her Mother's bedside, Kathryn attempts making 'peace' with her Mother's 'legend,' as well as her own (as others 'see' her Famously).
