Prisons

Synopsis:

Donny, a white suburban teen with behavioral issues, and Devere, his black best friend, navigate their friendship in Chicago and the suburbs. Donny continues to get into trouble and when he gets older, goes to prison. Devere stays on the right track and strives to become a chef. After a shocking act of violence, Donny develops hatred towards other races, especially African-American. On the street, Devere is oblivious to Donny's changed mental state, and Donny's mother Carol remains optimistic for her son's future. Upon his release, Donny confronts his racism head on, and his relationships may never be the same.
