Mama is a ghost in the play and acts as a commentator as each one of her possessions is boxed up, tied up or wrapped up and thrown into this car or that. The one younger family member that mama has hope for is Cassandra so as all of her old wealth is being stripped out of the house, she quietly leaves Cassandra a valuable family ring as a token of her belief and hope in the girl. The ring comes out in the open and causes a fire storm among the elders who all feel it should have come to them. This is a play about greed, family wealthy and expectations, this is also a play about hope in the future from our own family generations starting with the very young.
