My name is Jenn August I wrote a musical called Jean & the wonderful idea machine, a growth mindset adventure about a little girl who invents a machine that transforms worried thoughts into wonderful ideas. I am looking to get the musical fully produced and collaborate with a theater or producer or director that resonates with empowering life changing messages for children & the whole family.

In February 2018 I had a stage reading at the Portland Musical Theater Company to rave audience reviews.

I produced and directed the musical on the zoom platform and screened it last month and raised funds to help low income students get digital devices to attend school during distance learning.

Because zoom can be unstable I shot the musical  like a movie and I entered it into film festivals and it was just nominated for best international feature.

I know my musical is ready for a bigger stage and audience. Let me know if you would like to preview the musical. I would love to chat with you if you have a resource to share or would like to chat about a possible collaboration or licensing the musical.

I am also open to collaborating on new material. I also have already started writing my next musical which is an uplifting tale that teaches kids what they can to help save the bees.
