Bath Time is Fun Time
by Arthur M. Jolly
Synopsis: A rubber duckie, a toy submarine, a sponge and a washcloth try and recover from the soul-shaking trauma of their first bath. Submarine, as the one who was plunged underwater immediately, is ostracized by the others - in particular the very buoyant rubber duckie... but over the course of the play all of the bath toys must face their own fears and try to understand the nature of their existence.
Notes: This play has been performed by both children (premiered by the Youth Education on Stage company, directed by Jack Dyville) and by adults, with performances by the Playwrights Round table, the Unsaddest Factory Theatre Company and the Gulfport Community Players.
