Dancing with William Blake
by Michael Halperin
Synopsis: After the unexpected death of his wife, William Blake struggles with the collision of past and present. His daughter attempts to console him but recollections of his college sweetheart, their love of dancing and a brief affair intrude on fond memories of his marriage. William embarks on tango lessons with an insecure college dropout who encourages him to find his college dance partner. A friendship blossoms between William and his instructor who decides that if William can take risks as an older man, she can also take risks. She pushes him forward. William's daughter attempts to prevent him from carrying out what she considers his ill-considered goal. He prevails against her fervid protestations and with a sense of intense trepidation finds the woman with whom he danced as a young man and they dance their last dance.
