Synopsis:

                             THE VANISHING POINT

   The musical THE VANISHING POINT is set in the contemporary Los Angeles fine art scene and features a CAST of four. Aspiring artist GILES manically paints to prepare for his first major art gallery exhibition at Marjon’s Gallery. GILES’S star-crossed lover, MELODY, is a commercially successful jewelry designer and fabricator. She is frustrated with GILES losing yet another job, and he owes her money for his share of several months back rent. GILES is also deeply indebted to MARJON who exerts increasing control over him and his future artwork. Despondent and depressed, GILES contemplates suicide.

                                                CHARACTERS

GILES: He is an ambitious, talented painter and multi-media artist in a star-crossed relationship with MELODY. He is frantically preparing for his first major art exhibition.

MELODY: She is a commercially successful jewelry designer and fabricator with a thriving online jewelry sales site. She is frustrated with her star-crossed relationship with GILES.

MARJON: She is a performance artist and the owner of Marjon’s Art Gallery which will open GILES’S art exhibition.

LANCE: He is a 30-something Reporter for the syndicated L.A. arts and show business TV show “Deep Dish L.A.” He is currently covering fine art week in Los Angeles.
