Synopsis:

LOCKDOWN is a two-act play set in the three-room apartment of a young woman, Laura, who lives in the Wilshire District of Los Angeles during the early months of the Covid pandemic in 2020. During the course of the play Laura receives a visit from her father, Duffy, who reveals that she has a half-sister, Cybele, the child of a woman with whom Duffy had an extra-marital affair eighteen years ago. Duffy asks Laura to take Cybele in as a roommate, at least temporarily, because Cybele has nowhere else to live at the moment. Laura reluctantly agrees to her father's request, and during the balance of the play she and Cybele learn to be sisters. Other characters in the play are Woody, an elderly resident of the Laura's building; Sullivan, Laura's brother and Duffy's son; and Maxine, Cybele's mother.
