Synopsis:


Ralph-an overweight 45-year-old gay man, estranged from his sister, Penny.

Jasper-Ralph’s ex-a 35-year-old gay man physically challenged. Needs to use a wheelchair and forearm crutches.

Lisa-Ralph’s sister-A 50-year-old depressed straight woman audiologist who is going deaf and has lost her job.

Penny-Lisa’s daughter and Ralph’s niece-A mature straight teenage girl who must care for her mother and has to put off going to college.


Due to poverty, Ralph and his ex-lover Jasper, live together.  When Ralph’s sister Lisa, and his niece, Penny decide to move in-with Ralph and Jasper, these four downtrodden characters that have reached the pit of humanity, find solace among each other. Rather than 'fixing' everything, they discover a more realistic view of how relationships work that is healthier. By owning all of it, they find that it's actually the only way things can move forward.
