About Gordon Blitz

From a young child, I was called a sissy, girlie, fag, queer, and homo. Getting towel whipped, stomach punched and spit on were part of my world. I never found my writer’s voice until I retired in 2017 after forty years of accounting and became a passionate writing machine. As an elderly LGBTQ+ man, I have a unique perspective on the many facets of being LGBTQ+ for the last fifty years.

In 2023, my play Reflections had a reading at the Region 8 Kennedy Center American Theater College Festival in Las Vegas, Nevada and became a semi-finalist for the National Festival in Washington D.C.  My play A Homeless Thanksgiving was performed on February 9th as part of the Talking It Out Festival at the Spit&Vigor Blackbox Theatre, 115 MacDougal St. 3C, New York

I am also a novelist. 2021 my novella Shipped Off was published by Running Wild Press in Novella Anthology Volume 4, Book 1. In 2023, my novels Harmonic Dissonance and Stretched Love were published by the Shortish Project and Tofu Ink Arts Press, respectively.
